Diary of a Bad Year
I intended The 2020 Calendar Project to serve as a memory bank where I would draw something every day that depicts what happened that day — sometimes in code, and sometimes in a more obvious way. With the outbreak of Covid-19, my project took on a different meaning. It still serves as a memory bank, but now it also juxtaposes the horrifying reality of a global pandemic in the background of the ordinariness of my personal life.
I started out by experimenting with different types of media but ended up sticking with ink, which I feel the most comfortable with.
